At GF Hoteles we are committed to reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions

• 100% energy from renewable sources.
• GF Victoria and GF Isabel install biomass boilers as the main source of renewable energy supplying hot water to all rooms.
• Propane-air to fuel boilers and stoves. Boilers replaced with condensing boilers. Condensing boilers reduce smoke emissions by 33% by making the most of the residual heat and also cut fuel consumption by 20%.
• The hotel chain’s laundry service is an example of energy efficiency, reducing consumption of water and chemical products and optimizing resources.
• GF Hoteles is gradually replacing lighting with LED technology in the five establishments.
•   We promote local businesses, helping mitigate CO2 emissions generated in the transport of raw materials. Data from the Purchasing Department shows that more than 90% of our purchases of products and services are made from local suppliers.
•   Carbon footprint monitoring. An energy consumption control system has been installed featuring online measuring.

At GF Hoteles, we are currently working on calculating the CO2 absorption of the garden areas.

We are also installing intelligent irrigation in all the hotel establishments of the chain.
